SUPER…

SUPER….. woman? Mum? VA?

People often ask me how I do it, and throw in words like, super-woman, but is that really necessary…

Yes I do keep very busy – I have a great business and associates on board, we have taken on some new clients as others have completed their projects. We are going through an expansion over the coming 12 months too into new services.

There are two little people that I have to make sure are ready every day for school or nursery, as well as making sure I am cooking some exciting dinners for them at the end of the day. These are my fussiest clients!

To add to this I recently took on the role of Chair of the PTA as I know they will appreciate my organisational skills and being someone that gets things done.

But I am not a super-woman, a super-human, a super-mum?

No, I don’t put pressure on myself with these labels, I am simply highly organised and here a few of my secrets…

  • Use diary blocking to make sure I can fit everything into my week, this is great in Google Calendar.
  • Use Todoist for all my tasks – family  and business – everything in one app means I don’t miss anything
  • Large diary with notes pages that I scribble everything into – your brain remembers the things you physically write with your hand more than things you swipe or mindlessly type into an app – try it! (I am loving Moleskine)
  • Great network of people around me – family, friends and business minds
  • Regular reward to myself – pamper massage is a great way for me to relax – this will keep you focused
  • Coffee – and I am trying to cut that down, and swap for decaf (my kryptonite) occasionally but I couldn’t do it all without a few caffeine fixes!

It is November now and I already started planning for 2020 a few weeks ago. There is no time like the present to make a start in knowing what you want to achieve next year and beyond. Plan ahead for next year and then you will have time for family and friends at Christmas, without the dreaded panic about tasks for January.

And whilst you are planning ahead, why not consider a New Year’s promise?

By the way, I don’t think “resolutions” work, you should make a promise to yourself (your worst critic) that you will achieve something specific, that is my plan anyway.

If letting go and being more organised next year is your aim, give me a call or email me and lets discuss how I can help you in 2020.
