2 YEARS ON and my next challenge
Couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of winning an award for “UK VA of the Year – London and South England Region 2019” which was presented to me at the 41st Annual UK Business Show at the Excel Centre.
Am I happy? Absolutely. I have worked my socks off for last the two years growing Latchgate. I have been balancing work and family commitments while building up my client portfolio and making sure everything is running smoothly. It has been a very exciting time.
We all make sacrifices, and I admit to you all that I am not a Superwoman, even if many friends and clients call me that. While my family and work has been going great and has been my focus, I have stopped doing exercise and started drinking far too much coffee, with cheeky biscuits on the side.
What am I going to change?
I will make time for me and cut down on the coffee (and biscuits); that is my change challenge.
Do not worry my dear clients and prospects, I am not going away travelling the world to find myself – I know where I need to be, who I am, and I love my job. I will make some time each day to do some exercise, eat more healthily and start reading some fun books too – not just business books.
I am successful with Latchgate, I have a beautiful healthy family and my chosen job allows me to be there for them, but winning this award has made me realise that I also need to “reward” myself in making ME healthy, that way I will actually be more productive in the long run and I have some great ideas how to take Latchgate forward in the coming year.
Thank you all for your support over the last 2 years and going forward. If you would like to have a chat how Latchgate could support you going forward do get in touch – I have a knack of making people more productive and their businesses more profitable.
